The Mayor and Board of Commissioners meet on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 P.M. in the Community Meeting Room located at 101 Carroll Street in Englewood, Tennessee. Public Hearings begin at 5:30 P.M.
Citizens are encouraged to attend all town meetings.
The Town of Englewood is accepting applications for a Pool Manager and Lifeguards. Applications are available online at www.townofenglewood.com and at City Hall. Lifeguards must be certified prior to applying for the position. The deadline for applications will be Monday May 5, 2014 at close of business.
CLEAN UP WEEK WILL BE APRIL 21, 2014-APRIL 26, 2014
The town will pick up on the East Side of Hwy. 411 (which is the side that the elementary school is on) on Monday and Tuesday April 21 and 22nd. They will pick up on the West side of Hwy. 411 on Wednesday and Thursday April 23 and 24th. Friday April 25, 2014 will be reserved for tires only.
Items must be beside of the road before 8:00 AM on Monday April 21, 2014
The trucks will not run the same route twice.

History of Englewood
Englewood was established in 1870, two miles southeast of the location where two railroad lines crossed, and was originally known as Tellico Junction.
Several shops, mills and houses were built to take advantage of the railroad construction. By 1907, the Eureka Cotton Mill moved there and became the primary establishment in town.
Absolutely no skateboarding on city property. The city does not have insurance to cover injuries from accidents that may occur from skateboarding. Please do not disregard this notice. If you receive an injury from skateboarding the city will not be liable.
